TOTAL REJECTION OF HON. ADEBIYI ADELEYE AS APC PARTY CANDIDATE FOR REMO NORTH (HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2027)

We, the party faithful and stakeholders of Remo North Local Government, wish to congratulate His Excellency, Pince Dapo Abiodun on his well-deserved endorsement as our party's Ogun East senatorial candidate for 2027 General Election. This reflects the confidence and trust that party members across the state have placed in your leadership style.

However, we write with deep concern regarding the imposition of Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye as our candidate for the State House of Assembly. While we respect the Governor's influence within the party, we strongly urge that his personal relationships not be allowed to determine the political future of Remo North.

The track record speaks for itself. In the last election, Hon. Adeleye suffered a comprehensive defeat — losing across every polling unit, including his own when he was lured as our candidate. This was a clear and unambiguous verdict from our people which is yet to abate

Since then, rather than reflect on this rejection, he has engaged in scheming — working with associates to suppress other candidates, spreading false claims of your Excellency’s endorsement, and using some questionable political figures to manipulate the current process.

Our people deserve better. We call on the Governor to personally consult party leaders across Remo North for him to have the direct feeling of our people towards the character of Hon. Adeleye. We want a candidate with demonstrable qualifications, broad stakeholder appeal, and possess the capacity to unite and deliver during the election and not divide.

For your information, he has been using your endorsement of his candidacy to coopt some shady party faithfuls for his overall endorsement on Sunday, 26th April, 2026. Your Excellency sir, this approach would breed and give us about the same result he landed us into during the last General Election

We reject imposition. We demand consultation and fair consideration of other aspirants to represent our Local Government. Remo North deserves a candidate who will deliver.
